LA based Justin Fantl hired the studio to design his printed promos, which combines his very graphic still life photographs with dynamic typography. What started as a one-off project has become on ongoing and rewarding collaboration. We've approached each project as series of creative design solutions, which expands Justin's ongoing evolution as a photographer and considering the best format for the printed series to live in. The first promotional piece was a newsprint book which incorporated graphic typography as personality on the different categories of Justin's work. The second one was a poster that explained Justin's fascination with optical illusions and how it has framed the direction of his work. The third piece is a 32 page book on microscopic specimens, called 'Specere' (viewing order is inverse, newest first).
